St. Joe's defends TVRA South-East Division team title again

ST. THOMAS - For the fourth consecutive year, the St. Joseph's Rams have won the Thames Valley Regional Athletics (TVRA) South-East Division title.
St. Joe's qualifies in three divisions for the Western Ontario Secondary Schools Athletic Association (WOSSAA) tournament, May 24, in Stratford. The finalists from each of the five divisions advance.
Alex Craig won the men's singles title, dusting Glencoe's Robbie Black, 6-0, 6-1, in the final.
It was an all St. Joe's mixed doubles final, with Addie Mailhot and Jack Ainsworth, defeating Olivia Tasker and Bryce Mailhot.
Woodstock St. Mary's Warriors' Cooper Gilsen and Ben Jentz, defeated St. Joe's' Sam Hardy and Denys Reid, in the men's doubles final.
In the ladies singles final, West Elgin Wildcat Taylor Schnekenburger got by Parkside Stampeder Taylor Goodhie, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3.
Central Elgin Titans' Emma Blewett and Holly Monteith defeated Parkside's Grace Waite and Gracie Clinton, in the ladies' doubles final.
